Rusty Richards
"I'm a cowboy who sings."
For Rusty, being a cowboy was a way of life.
At the tender age of four, Rusty (named Vincent at the time.) heard that someone was putting in a horse ranch down the road. He climbed on his tricycle, rode into the Jackson Ranch, and asked for a job.
Luckily, Mrs. Jackson let him down gently by offering him a job: "Someday when you are a little older."
Nelly Jackson was true to her word, and when Vincent turned thirteen, she hired him and even had him stay on the ranch in the "Bunkhouse." Which was the old Pleasant house.
It was in such a state of shambles that Rusty said he could lay in his bunk and look at the stars.
Rusty went on to become a well-respected horse trainer and was commissioned by Horse and Horseman magazine to write the lead monthly article for years.
At the Age of 16, Rusty had his own TV show called Song Trails by Rusty Richards.
